Criminal defence advocate in the UAE
We defend clients in cases involving fraud, breach of trust, cheques, insult and defamation, and financial crime. We get involved from the first summons, not from the moment charges are formally filed.
When clients come to us
- you are called in for interrogation or have been detained
- a charge has been filed against you, and you do not understand its substance
- the case has been referred to the public prosecution or a hearing has been scheduled
- a verdict has been issued, and an appeal is needed
- you are abroad while a case has been opened in the UAE
What we do
- establish the classification and stage of the case
- arrange an advocate and interpreter for every procedural step
- prepare a written defence position in Arabic
- file applications regarding the measure of restraint and lifting restrictions
- provide defence in the court of first instance
- prepare an appeal and cassation complaint
How the work proceeds
- Urgent engagement. We take enquiries around the clock. The first step is establishing what you are accused of and what procedural steps have already taken place.
- Defence at interrogation. The advocate is present while explanations are given, and the interpreter ensures the record is accurate. This is the stage where irreversible mistakes are most often made.
- Public prosecution. We build a position, present evidence, and work towards discontinuation or reclassification.
- Court and appeal. We conduct the defence at hearings, and if the outcome is unfavourable we prepare a complaint to a higher instance.
Documents required
- copy of your passport and Emirates ID
- summons, record, or order
- case number and police station
- all documents and correspondence relating to the situation

Коротко о главном
For a number of case categories — yes. But even where it is not formally required, giving explanations without an advocate and without translation is the main source of problems later on.
State your right to contact an advocate and do not sign any document whose content has not been translated for you. Tell us the police station — an advocate will attend the same day.
For a significant share of privately prosecuted cases — yes. It is formalised procedurally, through withdrawal of the complaint.
Yes. Certain offences can lead to cancellation of residency and an entry ban, so we work out the visa consequences together with the procedural strategy.
